Setting up your account


How to Register

You can register free with Fabricjam by clicking on the Register button on our homepage. You will be directed onto a page where you will need to choose a username and enter your details.

A confirmation e-mail will be sent to your e-mail address. This will contain a link which you need to click on. Clicking on this link will verify your e-mail address, you will then be directed to Fabricjam where you can buy, sell, watch items or promote yourself in your personal account.

Your Profile

You can edit your profile by loggin in and clicking on Personal Details.

This feature is useful for members who may be young designers, wishing to tell buyers a little more about themselves. These details will be displayed to users who click onto your username. Please note that you may not display a website or e-mail address on your profile or advertise any kind of trading outside of Fabricjam.

Your Account Balance

Each time an item is sold by you, your account balance will be updated accordingly. This may in some cases take 48 hours to update. To view your account balance, please click on Balance in ‘my account’.

Invoicing

On the 25th day of every month we will send an invoice to the e-mail address which you have provided. Your invoice will also be viewable in your messages in your account.

We accept the following methods of payment:

Credit/debit card payments

Paypal payments

Direct Debit

We recommend setting up a direct debit with us. Please note that if a sellers fees reach £15 in total, we cannot allow you to list any more items/incur any more charges until a payment method is set up in conjunction with your account.

If you would like to check your balance at any time during the month, please click on balance in your account menu.

If you are having technological problems paying us using the above stated methods, and would like to send payment using a personal cheque or postal order please click here.

Messaging system explained

You can message other Fabricjam users by clicking on their profile and selecting “contact member”.  You can also ask a question about an item by selecting “ask a question”. Your messages will be viewable in your account.

Please treat members with respect at all times. Do not misuse our messaging system by sending spam or abuse to other members. Misuse of this facility may result in a formal warning, temporary suspension or indefinite suspension of your account.
